Welcome to my wine blog! I am a wine enthusiast and have lived in Sweden for 13 years. During that time I have come to know & love the idiosyncrasies of Systemmet and the regulation of alcohol sales in Sweden. I have no affiliation with Systemmet, or any any win producer/importer – I do this because I enjoy sharing my love for wine.

I am English originally and have just celebrated a milestone birthday, but still can’t quite admit to being 50…..

When I’m not drinking wine or working I also skiing (XC & downhill) in the winter and running or cycling in the summer.

I am married with two teenage daughters & a dog and before Sweden we lived in Hamburg for a couple of years.

Although I have no formal wine qualifications I am passionate about finding great value wine. There are some fantastic bargains at Systemmet but there are also some stinkers that are only fit for Chateau Garbage, so I’d like to help you find the former & avoid the latter.
